Trident Properties is a family of employees dedicated to providing an exceptional apartment living experience to our residents by emphasizing outstanding customer service while continuously enhancing our wide variety of housing options.
While he would never actually ask the Trident staff to call him El Presidente, Steve works hard enough to sustain a small island nation and no one would begrudge him a sash full of medals. Constantly in action - physically and mentally - he is the engine that powers the Trident machine. On any given day he can be found on a roof checking in with contractors, nose-deep in a stack of new construction codes, or coordinating the perfect professional development for his team. He takes great pride in each new project that brings good things into the lives of those around him, be they employees or residents. Such a wonderful attitude is rare in individuals and ever rarer in a boss.
In some, such kinetic energy peters out once they set foot at home, but Steve has a car to restore, chickens to raise, and an incredibly active family with as much zest for life as him to keep up with. He's a man on the move! Born to life on the water, Steve is as likely to be found enjoying a picnic on the shores of Pretty Lake as he is cutting across the waves in sailboats of all sizes. Being the positive fella he is, he'd also be perfectly happy if you dropped him in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, as long as he had a fishing pole and a lake nearby. Of course, he wouldn't say no to a family trip to Florida either. No matter where he is or who he's with, Steve will always be on the lookout for ways to help make things better and inject a good dose of joy while doing it, because he's just that kind of guy.
First thing in the morning, one might happen upon Dave sipping a cup of coffee and looking contemplative, but the tranquil exterior belies so much more. Much like the Spanish Inquisition, no one expects the razor-like wit and dogged attention to detail that he uses to transform numerical chaos into order every single day. Guiding the company through the business world like a team ascending Everest, his even-handed leadership provides the sturdy foundation on which all good Trident things are built. Dave embodies a rare combination of well-reasoned foresight and adventurousness, which makes things very interesting during both leasing and football seasons, and inspires loyalty in his employees.
As sharp as he is during the workday, Dave also knows how to unwind like a pro. A short drive to South Haven or a long flight to Central America means the perfect spot to put his toes in the sand, a drink in his hand, and a smile on his face. Dave is also a firm believer in the liberating power of solo karaoke and the inevitable empowerment that comes with bowling lots and lots of strikes, both of which he makes use of year round. Thanks to a passion for sports and the aforementioned keen wit, he has become exceptionally deft and cutting when it comes to yelling at disappointing teams on game day. This skill earns him continual respect and awe from all fortunate enough to witness it. Ultimately, though, it's Dave's kindness and long term patience that make him who he is and Trident what it is.
Don't let the kind smile and twinkle in his eye fool you into thinking that Eric is just Mr. Easy Going: the man is also a powerhouse. Two feet of snow fell? Eric's got it shoveled. Shower nozzle only misting? Eric has it back to full blast. Garbage disposal making a noise like a dying animal? Eric's already removed the six pennies and inexplicably whole banana that were causing the problem. When he's on the job, there's nothing that won't get resolved quickly and with a calming disposition. No matter how tough the customer, everyone eventually warms to him and looks forward to the quality he brings into their homes with each visit. He's great that way.
Of course, his contagious laugh and sense of fun extend far beyond the work day, from enjoying a slice of Martini's pizza with his family to dissolving into breathless guffaws when hapless friends fall into the pool. Things can get serious come March Madness though, as Eric is not messing around when it comes to his love of college basketball. If you happen to spot him with his earbuds in, you won't regret asking what he's listening to; Eric has great taste in music and may let you in on something you didn't know your life was missing. He's the type of person who always has something to offer, no matter who he's talking to or working with, and that's a huge part of why his place in the Trident family is such a special one.
When looking at the vastness of Regency Square, the question is often asked, "How can one man maintain all of these apartments?" The answer is, "Because that man is Craig." Much like a Swiss Army knife, his ability to get the job done in a myriad of disparate situations is constantly impressive and surprising. Never one to give less than his all to whatever he's working on, Craig puts a lot of love into everything he does and boy, does it show. There are too many reasons to list why residents feel so well- cared for under Craig's watchful eye and speedy toolbox, but it all comes back to the fact that he thrives on learning new skills and taking on whatever challenges today brings with a disarmingly warm disposition.
Craig's dedication and big heart come naturally though, and they both shine through whenever you see him with his family. Not only does he love them more than anything, but they also tend to bring out his playful side. Of course, Craig's sense of humor makes it almost impossible not to feel brighter and happier when spending time with him. There are plenty of quieter times with Craig too, from a peaceful afternoon on Lake Michigan to a nice trip to the park, but don't let those fool you. The motorcycle zooming past? That cheer from the gaming floor at The Bellagio? The source could easily be Craig. A man of many tastes and talents, he brings a tremendous amount to everything he does, at home, at play, and at work, which is why he's such an important part of the Trident family.
When you see a guy with a serious face forty feet up on a building wielding a nail gun, it's easy to assume that he's all business all the time. While that may be true of others, Mike is hilarious and is the first person to crack up when ridiculous things happen to his coworkers. His vast experience and practical know-how in all manner of construction fields haven't turned him into a gruff, no-nonsense tradesman, but rather a clever, funny, crazy-problem solving member of the team who could probably build a working scale model of the White House if he wanted to. It takes far more know-how to be good at capital improvements than most people realize, which means that Mike really is this impressive.
As is no surprise, Mike's abilities are for more than fixing and building. Get him on the water and watch him go! There are more than a few fish who've felt threatened when he started swimming nearby. Of course, they're even more annoyed when he catches them on his next fishing trip. Mike is sneaky that way. Once he dries off, it's not unusual to find him relaxing with his son, guitar in hand, on one of Michigan's many beaches or poolside right at home. It can be hard to find the balance between work and play, but when you go whole hog on both, you end up with a tireless dedication to your life and the lives of the people around you. In short, you end up with Mike and that's saying a whole lot.
Just because a huge job gets done quickly and cleanly doesn't mean it was easy, it means that Bret was doing it. Mad skills in everything from carpentry and drywall to renovation and built-from-scratch exterior features, there are few tasks he can't bend to his will. Always willing to try new things and gain new skills, Bret is quick to ask questions and step up to challenges. His thoughtful nature allows him to problem solve from all sides, a trait that comes in handy more often than most people realize. If help is needed on issues large or small, Bret is there and raring to go.
That keen sense of camaraderie make Bret a blast on the job or in social situations. Just try making it through the Trident holiday party without him cracking you up! That being said, Bret also has the wisdom to appreciate the truly great things in life: the warmth of family, the serenity of Michigan's back country, and the joy of taking a nap as an adult. Of course, with a family as active as his those naps are few and far between. Bret is far more likely to be found playing games, planning a tropical escape, or instigating all manner of weekend shenanigans. No matter where he is, Bret's a sharp fella who brings a lot to the table and that's why Trident's holding onto him so tightly.
Being responsible for an entire property might seem daunting, but you'd never know if from talking to Amber: this lady is a get-it-done machine! On the job her sincere enthusiasm for and excitement about her residents is downright infectious, which makes every visit to the Regency Square office a delight. As if the awesome attitude wasn't enough, Amber is a sponge when it comes to knowledge and is constantly developing new skills or honing old ones. She levels up faster than anyone! Given how dynamic each day is in this industry, her desire to always beat her previous best is not only refreshing, it's also downright impressive. Add that to her effortless warmth and genuine care for the people she serves, and the result is a resident population getting the very best with a smile.
A Michigan gal by birth, Amber's scope of life spans far beyond the boundaries of the Great Lakes: she has intercontinental aspirations. While the lure of Netflix and a fluffy pile of blankets calls during the depths of winter, Amber won't be content until she's stood with the stars in a Bolivian night and given a hat to a penguin on Antarctica. Her love for friends and family will always bring her home, but that won't stop her thirst for exploration or her joyous approach to life. Just watch out on game night, as Amber is a formidable strategist and will gleefully crush her opponents into tiny little pieces. Amber brings her own style to everything she does and Trident wouldn't be what it is without her.
A travel-loving woman on the go, Amy thrives on the hustle and bustle of keeping residents happy. Her ability to juggle a dozen different projects makes her a great property manager, but it's her heart that makes the work she does truly special. Ambition in some can be off-putting, but Amy's desire to achieve is rooted in her forthright approach to life and a default setting of innate kindness. Deep care for everyone she encounters shows at every turn, whether it's championing capital improvement projects at Carriage Green or working with a resident one-on-one to make their time with Trident even better. Of course, the intensity of work has to be matched in play.
If you see a blonde blur whiz past during a 5k or on one of West Michigan's many trails, it very well could be Amy. She runs, she hikes, and she plays tennis with the ferocity of a young Gabriela Sabatini. Smashing through barriers and blowing past goals is kind of her thing. Since she loves the laughter of others, you may even find her in an amusing costume during the annual Snow Jog, probably while winning. The laughter is just as likely to come from a theme party at home with friends though, as Amy does nothing halfway. It's one of the many reasons she's a perfect fit in the Trident family.
If you've ever called Trident's office and been greeted by a mellifluous voice, then chances are you've already experienced a little bit of Johanna. Resourceful and clever, forthright and kind, she's on the frontline of Trident's interaction with everyone, from residents to people who've lost their directions to Grandmother's house, and for good reason; even on grey, gloomy days, she's quick with a smile, a sympathetic ear, or a sly quip that causes spit-takes in her office mates. Johanna's eager sincerity for every visitor is a rare trait matched only by her willingness to solve problems no matter how small they might be. However those solutions sometimes come with rubber chickens, so she keeps things exciting.
She may be a transplant to Kalamazoo, but her roots have run deep in this town. If someday you turn on the radio and think, "That sounds like Johanna!" it probably is, because she's been a DJ on WIDR for the last ten years! A study in contrasts, Johanna is just as likely to be found out in the woods as she is playing video games. Or at the opera. Or cooking. Or watching UFC. Really, she's quite a grab bag of interests, so there's fun to be had in pretty much any situation. Don't let her irreverence fool you though, this lady takes loving where she lives seriously. With multiple years on the Vine Neighborhood Association board and a plethora of community development projects and events under her belt, Johanna is deeply invested in helping Kalamazoo be an even better place to work, play, and live for everyone.
Rebecca is a spitfire in all the best ways. Her mind works quickly and she's always the first one in line to help get the job done, whether it's pulling together documents for a last minute lease signing or putting on a harness and heading up to the roof with the capital improvement team to learn more about a new project. The woman has energy to spare, even on her slow days! Her sense of humor delights everyone she works with, which makes her expertise in the field all the more impressive, since not everyone who's that smart gets to be genuinely funny as well. Added to her quintessential sense of fairness and genuine concern for the well-being of our residents, the end result is a dynamic personality driven by a heart of occasionally sarcastic gold.
But never let it be said that Trident hordes such a treasure. Rebecca still brings all that good stuff to the kickball field, the kitchen, and the karaoke mic. Whether it's organizing an adventure for her book club cohorts or kayaking the Great Lakes with her husband, you'd better believe everyone's going to have stories to tell thanks to this unpredictable lady. Her attention to small things and love of a clean line makes Rebecca's quieter moments equally impressive. The delight she takes in cooking and plating is evident in each culinary creation she presents (though they never last long once they reach the table). At the end of the day, work or play, Rebecca has made an impression and a difference. And despite what she says after another pair of shoes has been eaten, she loves her dog very much.
Matt is a maintenance ninja. Some may think that's just a metaphor, but it's amazing how many times his work orders are completed so quickly and quietly that residents are surprised when they get the follow-up call, because they thought the problem just went away on its own. As adept as he is indoors though, his true passion lays with all things green and growing. When a bed of vibrant red flowers blooms in front of a building, they thrive because he's planted them well and showers them with TLC. Trident plants of all shapes and sizes have Matt to thank, for his living legacy is one of peaceful, vibrant beauty.
Then again, he can also be found bounding like an elk through the woods in northern Michigan with his children, so Matt has more than a little happening on his wild side. Never happier than when out in nature with family, an afternoon of wandering through the Porcupine Mountains followed by a fireside dinner is just about the perfect day. It's not often you find someone with such a deep love of nature who is also adept at mechanical things, but Matt is a diamond in the rough. Every day he brings his best, which drives Trident to a better company and all of us to be better people.
